The Owners

Veterans in the restaurant business, the three Forbes Mill Steakhouse partners, Ron Garald, and brothers Dean and Darin Devincenzi, met over 30 years ago while working for Marie Callender’s. After 20 years of restaurant experience, Dean and Darin, opened Double D’s Sports Grille in Los Gatos. When another restaurant location became available, all three partners founded Forbes Mill Steakhouse in Los Gatos in July of 2003 and opened the Danville location in March 2006. To this day, Ron is the proprietor of the Marie Callenders franchise in Los Altos.

The Name

Los Gatos, named for the mountain lions that still inhabit the area, was a destination for American pioneer farmers and loggers. The town grew up around the 1850’s flourmill established by James Alexander Forbes. The mill was also known as Forbes Mill, which still stands as a historical museum behind the high school. With a desire to capture the history of Los Gatos, the restaurant was aptly named Forbes Mill Steakhouse
